Today I finished reading Think Like A Freak by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner which (while a very respectable 4 star read) is nothing remarkable.

What is remarkable is that it happens to be my 1,500th read book on Goodreads.

Actually, it didn’t turn out to be quite as exciting as I expected. I’ve been doing a silent buildup in my head over the past few books, “1497…1498…1499…” This was it. My big 1500. Such a nice, round number. But then, while rating Think Like A Freak, I noticed I had never rated SuperFreakonomics, even though I’d read it. Without much thought, I marked it. The unintended consequence of that action was when I looked back at my read list, I was at 1501 instead of 1500. I completely missed 1500. It feels kind of anticlimatic. Like, ‘whoops, jk. Had 1500 all along.’

Sooo…yay! 1501. If you are looking for me, I will be in the corner trying to reach 2,000.
