Today I worked 13 hours and took 20,000 steps in high heels. I feel fairly brain dead. To give you an idea how brain dead, the cable guy at Wal Mart asked me who my cable provider was and I told him “I live at home so I don’t have to worry about it.” I think I meant something like, “I live with my parents” but it wasn’t until I had taken several steps that his, “you live at home?” finally processed in my brain. Whoops.
It was a good day, though. I plan to end it with some Remington Steele and no alarm clock. Take that, morning.
One of the perks of living at home is that I have two sisters who wear the same size clothes and shoes as me. When you combine my Mom’s wardrobe into the mix, there is a lot to choose from.
I rushed home today from work covered in sweat and dressed in a baggy t-shirt and shorts. I had 15 minutes before I was running out the door to celebrate my friend’s birthday at a restaurant in downtown Milwaukee. I had no clue what to wear.
Thankfully, my sister Bethany took me in hand and within a few minutes had me in her maxi dress with her belt and necklace to accessorize. I opted for a pair of flats but they were so uncomfortable I gave up after 30 seconds. My second option (a pair of basic black heels) got vetoed by my Mom and other sister in favor of some “kabam” sandals. Within 13 minutes, I was dressed and ready for the town.
There are challenges to sharing a room with sisters…especially when we are all naturally messy people. However, it certainly comes with its perks, too! I trust my Mom and sisters to be straight with me when it comes to my outfits, so when all 3 of them are giving me the thumbs up, I leave the house feeling quite confident!
I can’t figure out where my family stashed my laptop, so this will be another short post from my phone. I am going to continue raving about these SHOES I found. I wore them again today. They were more comfortable than the pair of flats I had with me!
The heels are part of the Dexflex brand. All 3 of women I was working yesterday were in one form or another of Dexflex. (Plus me = 4 outa 4!) I am going to wear them again tonight while I hang out with friends.
So excited about these shoes!! They are comfortable and trendy.
I have found the most AMAZING pair of heels. I bought them yesterday at Payless. In fact, I bought two! Gray and black. They have memory foam and are super comfortable. I decided to do a test run today; I was on my feet from 11 am to 6 pm. And guess what? My feet felt, if not amazing, still pretty dang good considering I was in heels for that long! I am very exited by the discovery.
Otherwise, this post is short because I am exhausted. I spent the day tabling at a conference and then joined the after party for dancing. (Switched to flats for that!) I danced for over two hours and had a blast.
Thankfully, I have a hotel room so no long drive home for me (I am in Green Bay) I plan to turn on the Disney channel and crash. Hopefully there will be more coherence tomorrow.
